LuxaireŽ Helps Make-A-Wish "Deliver the Magic of a Wish"
LuxaireŽ has embarked on a three-year partnership with the Make-A-Wish FoundationŽ, the world's largest wish-granting organization, to help "Deliver the Magic of a Wish" to children with life-threatening illnesses in the regions served by Luxaire heating and air-conditioning equipment distributors and dealers across the country.
As a corporate sponsor, Luxaire is supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation with an annual donation of $250,000, and our distributors and dealers can raise funds to support local Make-A-Wish chapters. We're also encouraging homeowners to participate in the program by offering them the opportunity to donate all or a portion of their rebates during spring and fall promotions to their local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Luxaire encourages its dealers to work closely with their local Make-A-Wish chapters on a variety of easy-to-implement programs or customized projects that are relevant to the dealers' communities, and we've developed marketing and fund-raising materials to make it easy for our dealers to support many of these programs and projects.
The Make-A-Wish FoundationŽ
The Make-A-Wish FoundationŽ grants the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. It is the largest wish-granting organization in the world, with 80 chapters in the United States and its territories and 22 international affiliates on five continents. Since being founded in 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 83,000 wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. For more information about the Make-A-Wish Foundation, please visit the organization's Web site at www.wish.org.
Although many children wish for things like a trip to Disneyworld or to meet a famous person, Charlotte Anne Stokes' one wish was to be a princess for a day. Charlotte, a 4-year-old from Walled Lake, Mich., that is battling cancer, had her wish granted last November by the Make A Wish Foundation. Hundreds of Make-A-Wish volunteers and more than 1,000 people were on hand at the St. John's Conference Center in suburban Detroit to welcome Charlotte as she rode in a horse-drawn carriage in a Royal Parade. Open the attached PDF to learn more about Charlotte's wish and the Make-A-Wish foundation. |
